The outside is bare clay, sandy and slightly gritty under the thumb, with the foot left unglazed. Inside, a speckled cream glaze runs smooth to the rim, iron flecks scattered through it.
At 12.5 cm across and 250 ml it takes rice, a side, a few olives, or sits on a shelf holding nothing in particular.
Glaze tone and surface vary from piece to piece, so yours will not match the photographs exactly. That variation is the point.
