A cup earns its place through use. You reach for it in the morning, notice how it sits in your hand, and eventually stop thinking about why you chose it.

What we look for

We like ceramics with something to notice. A thumb-sized dent in the side of a tumbler. Speckle showing through a thin patch of cream glaze. The shallow cuts in an ivory mug, where a little beige settles into the surface.

Those details guide the pieces we bring together at Wabisabi Art Shop. Some are simple in shape, with colour doing most of the work. Others have folds or carved surfaces that you can feel as well as see. The differences matter to us because they make choosing a cup a personal thing.

A place at the table

Our collection includes small Aeris cups, larger Caelum mugs, folded Elowen-N tumblers and bowls. They needn't all match. A deep teal bowl can sit beside a cup in terracotta and cream; an ivory mug may be the piece you use every day.

We want the photographs and descriptions to help you judge those choices. Look at the rim, the inside of a bowl, and the way a glaze changes around the handle. Check the measurements too. A shape that looks right on a screen still has to fit your shelf and the way you use it.

Living with variation

The name Wabisabi reflects our fondness for uneven forms and surfaces that reward a closer look. In ceramics, glaze can gather at an edge or thin over a curve. Pieces from the same series can differ, and we describe that variation where it applies.

Choose the finish you like and the size you'll use. Care information belongs on each product page, where you can read it alongside the details of that particular piece.
